Backyard Reconstruction Project

This project was driven by several factors. The Client desired a series of spaces all interlinked with style and gardens. She wanted a nice entry to the back of her home from the driveway.

We created a grand stone masonry staircase that will support a future roof structure with architectural columns and a garden room with a water feature. Another aspect was that she wanted to make use of the space at the back of the master bed room. This space would also transition into two spaces in the back landscape.

We designed and created a beautiful stone terrace level that is now accessed through new french doors that were installed at the master bedroom. The area is also accessed from the screen porch in which we simply modified the existing porch to add a Phantom screen door.

The lower patio is for grilling, dining and possibly a future hot tub. The entry area links to the entertaining area along a new path flanked by gardens. There is a lawn space that allows for play space for the kids off of the patio and an alternative access gate and fence. New plantings surround the space that will provide screening and color. Elements used in the project matched the home's architectural elements such as stone masonry and wrought iron railings.
